  1. AIRMS Full Form:- All India Radio Monitoring Service (अखिल भारतीय रेडियो निगरानी सेवा)

All India Radio Monitoring Service (AIRMS) is the central monitoring service that monitors broadcasts in India as well as from all foreign broadcasts of interest to India. AIRMS is located in Simla. It works in liaison with RAW and Military intelligence.

  1. ARC Full Form:- Aviation Research Centre (एविएशन रिसर्च सेंटर)

The Aviation Research Centre is a part of the Research and Analysis Wing. The first head of the ARC was R. N. Kao, the founding chief of R&AW. Over the years the ARC has grown into a large operation and flies a large and varied fleet that till recently included the high-flying Mach 3 capable MIG-25.

The Central Bureau of Investigation is the premier investigating agency of India. Operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the CBI is headed by the Director.

  1. CSDIC Full Form:- Combined Services Detailed Interrogation Centre (संयुक्त सेवाएँ विस्तृत पूछताछ केंद्र)

The Combined Services Detailed Interrogation Centre (India), or CSDIC (I) for short, was the Indian branch of the CSDIC, established during World War II. Established along with the parent section at the start of hostilities in Europe, the branch developed as an important tool for interrogation of enemy troops and informants from November 1942, when the first information emerged of the nascent Indian National Army.

The CID was created by the British Government in 1902, based on the recommendations of the Police Commission. The Directorate of Enforcement is a law enforcement agency and economic intelligence agency responsible for enforcing economic laws and fighting economic crime in India. It is part of the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government Of India.

  1. DAI Full Form:- Directorate of Air Intelligence (एयर इंटेलिजेंस निदेशालय)

The Directorate of Air Intelligence is the intelligence arm of the Indian Air Force. Air Force intelligence responsibilities include imagery intelligence collection MiG-25R and Jaguar reconnaissance aircraft.

The Directorate of Military Intelligence is the military intelligence arm of the Indian Army. The agency was set up in 1941 as part of the erstwhile British Indian Army to generate field intelligence for the army. The agency is based at Sena Bhavan in Delhi.

The Economic Intelligence Council is the apex forum overseeing government agencies responsible for economic intelligence and combating economic offenses in India. The Council is also the apex of 18 regional economic intelligence committees, and is part of the Union Ministry of Finance. It was formed in 1990.

The Indian Political Intelligence Office was an intelligence organization initially established in England in 1909 in response to the dissemination of anarchist and revolutionary elements of Indian nationalism to different countries in Europe after the liquidation of India House in London in 1909.

The Intelligence Bureau is India’s internal intelligence agency. It was recast as the Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

  1. Inv-CBDT Full Form:- Investigation Division of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड का जांच प्रभाग)

The Investigation Division of the CBDT, abbreviated as Inv-CBDT, is the revenue enforcement agency of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, Government of India.

The Joint Cipher Bureau is an agency of the Indian armed forces responsible for signals intelligence and cryptanalysis and coordinating similar activities and operations of military intelligence agencies. The Joint Cipher Bureau works closely with the IB and R&AW.

The Narcotics Control Bureau is the nodal drug law enforcement and intelligence agency of India responsible for fighting drug trafficking and the abuse of illegal substances. The Director-General of NCB is an officer of the Indian Police Service or the Indian Revenue Service.

The National Technical Research Organisation is a technical intelligence agency under the National Security Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office, India. It was set up in 2004. It also includes the National Institute of Cryptology Research and Development, which is first of its kind in Asia.

The Research and Analysis Wing is the foreign intelligence agency of India. It was established in 1968 following the intelligence failures of the Sino-Indian War, which persuaded the Government of India

  1. SID Full Form:- Signals Intelligence Directorate (सिग्नल इंटेलिजेंस निदेशालय)

The Signals Intelligence Directorate is a joint service organization, manned by personnel from the Army, Navy and Air Force. It has a large number of WEUs (Wireless Experimental Units) that carry out the task of monitoring military links of other countries.

  1. WCCB Full Form:- Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (वन्यजीव अपराध नियंत्रण ब्यूरो)

Wildlife Crime Control Bureau a statutory body established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to combat organized wildlife crime. The Wild Life Amendment Act, 2006 provisions came in to force on 4 September 2006. It became operational in the year 2008.
